United kingdom, United state
Starting July 1, citizens of the Philippines can participate in Australia’s Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462). This expansion follows bilateral negotiations between Australia and the Philippines.
Filipino applicants aged 18-30 must hold a valid Philippine passport and either a tertiary qualification or two years of undergraduate study. This visa allows short-term work and travel within Australia.
Filipinos are the fifth largest migrant community in Australia, with 320,000 residing there as of June 2022. Additionally, Australia is updating visa conditions 8107, 8607, and 8608 to address unfair labour practices, effective July 1.
