Israel’s Immigration and Absorption Ministry has launched a new initiative to help olim (immigrants) find jobs before they even land in the country. The plan, called “Leap to Aliyah,” connects new immigrants with Israeli companies eager to hire skilled workers.
Over 53,000 new immigrants have arrived since the war with Hamas began, while companies still need around 35,000 professionals. Minister Ofir Sofer called it a “win-win” for both the economy and olim.
Major firms, hospitals, and retailers have already signed on, pledging to offer training, language support, and early hiring. The move aims to make aliyah to Israel smoother and boost economic growth post-war.
