Netherlands Updates Recognised Sponsorship Rules and Fees for 2026

The Netherlands is rolling out new changes to Recognised Sponsorship and government fees starting January 1, 2026. If you follow Dutch immigration or plan to hire skilled workers, this update matters.

Application fees for HSM permits, EU Blue Cards, and sponsor recognition will rise by about 4.4 percent. Sponsors will also face new obligations. They must keep proof that salaries for Highly Skilled Migrants and EU Blue Card holders were actually paid into the employee’s bank account.

Salary requirements will also increase in early 2026. These changes are part of broader reforms aimed at tightening the Dutch highly skilled migrant system.
