Heads up if you’re planning to work or study in Poland! Starting June 1, 2025, Poland is rolling out new immigration regulations to crack down on illegal migration and tighten residence and work permit rules.
Students must now prove B2-level language skills, and fake admissions will be flagged to consulates. There’s also a cap on foreign student intake. For foreign workers, local authorities can now block work permits in specific professions, and salary checks will happen every six months.
The goal? A safer, more controlled migration system. According to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, it’s about stopping the exploitation of loopholes and welcoming genuine students and workers. Are you ready for the changes?
