Turkey Deports 103 Nigerians Over Expired Visas and Migration Issues
United kingdom, United state
Turkey deported 103 Nigerians due to expired visas and other irregularities, revealed Alhaji Tijani Ahmed, Federal Commissioner of the NCFRMI. Expected were 110, but only 103 arrived, all male.
Some deportees, like Arinze Stone, faced long detention periods and alleged extortion by Turkish authorities. Another deportee, Moses Emeh, criticized the Turkish government for lack of transparency.
NCFRMI and NEMA pledged support and reintegration programs. The deportation highlights diplomatic issues and calls for better awareness for Nigerians in Turkey regarding local immigration policies.
