US to Review 55 Million Visas Under New Immigration Crackdown

The US is reviewing records of over 55 million visa holders to check if they broke entry or stay rules. Officials say visas could be revoked for overstays, criminal activity, public safety threats, or links to terrorism.

Visa holders will now face “continuous vetting,” including social media checks for anti-American views. President Donald Trump has made strict immigration policies central to his second term, with bans on travellers from several countries, student visa revocations, and new restrictions on foreign workers.

Recently, Secretary of State Marco Rubio also paused worker visas for truck drivers, citing safety concerns. The move signals an even stricter stance on immigration.
