Alberta Welcomes Foreign Workers in Latest Immigration Draws

Alberta is opening doors for skilled foreign workers through its Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). Between July 3 and 16, the province conducted six immigration draws, inviting professionals in healthcare, law enforcement, agriculture, aviation, and other fields.

The Alberta Opportunity Stream saw the most invitations, with 269 candidates selected on 11 July. Express Entry-linked streams also targeted priority sectors.

So far in 2025, Alberta has issued 2,895 nominations out of its 4,875 allocation, with nearly 2,000 spots still open. If you’re a temporary worker in Alberta or part of priority sectors, now’s a great time to check your eligibility. The province still has plenty of invitations left to issue this year!
