Big news for globetrotters, China now offers visa-free access to citizens of 75 countries, according to the National Immigration Administration (NIA). At a recent press conference, NIA chief Wang Zhizhong shared that China has expanded its visa-free and visa-exemption policies to boost international exchange.
The visa-free transit period is now 240 hours, and travellers can enter through 60 ports across 24 regions. This move is part of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan to modernise immigration services and attract global talent.
With over 1.5 billion traveller movements processed during this period, China is aiming to make travel smoother and more welcoming for business, tourism, and skilled professionals alike.
