Johor Immigration Raids Detain 46 Foreigners for Violations

Immigration officers in Johor, Malaysia, have detained 46 foreigners, including 25 Indonesians, during a series of raids on rented houses and other premises. The detainees, aged between 2 and 50, were caught for overstaying and living in Malaysia without valid permits, according to local reports.

The operation, led by 26 officers from the Johor Immigration Enforcement Division, followed tip-offs about a growing number of foreigners staying illegally. All those arrested have been sent to an immigration depot for further investigation.

Malaysia has been cracking down hard in recent months, detaining hundreds of foreigners for immigration offenses. Do you think stricter rules will reduce such cases?
