Good news for Palestinians! The Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) has updated its policy and will now issue residence permits for work and study to people holding Palestinian passports.
Finland will officially recognize passports issued by the Palestinian Authority as valid national travel documents, on par with those of any other country. However, passports issued by Hamas in Gaza will still not be accepted.
Migri stated that the change brings Finland back in line with its long-standing practice, which has been in place since 1995. The move is expected to facilitate the legal residence, work, and study of Palestinian students and workers in Finland.
