UK Work and Student Visas Take a Hit After Immigration Crackdown

Planning to move to the UK for work or study? It just got tougher. Work and student visa numbers dropped sharply in 2024, thanks to stricter UK immigration policies. The UK Home Office data shows a 39% drop in work visas and a 10% decline in student visas compared to last year. The popular Health and Care Worker visa fell a whopping 85%!

Student dependents were hit even harder, with an 83% decline in visas. While citizenship and settlement grants are rising, getting into the UK in the first place is getting harder. Is the UK closing its doors or just tightening the bolts?
