Work Permit Mexico

About

A Temporary Resident Visa plus a Work Permit allows you to enter Mexico. Obtain a temporary resident card, and engage in paid activities.

All Temporary Resident Visas accompanying Work Permits must be requested by the employer in Mexico directly through the National Institute of Migration (INM) . Only INM-registered employers are eligible to seek a Work Permit. Individuals cannot apply for this permit on their own.

After the INM has approved the request and granted a Unique Processing Number, the applicant must call the Embassy or make a Consular interview appointment. A temporary resident status with a Work Permit will also be granted if the Consular interview goes well.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must;

  • have a temporary resident visa.
  • be invited to work in Mexico.
