Sir Keir Starmer has hit out at Reform’s immigration policy, branding it “racist” and “immoral.” Nigel Farage’s party wants to scrap indefinite leave to remain (ILR), block migrants from claiming benefits, and force dual nationals to renounce other citizenships.
While EU citizens with settled status would be exempt, the changes could affect hundreds of thousands living legally in the UK. Starmer warned that targeting law-abiding migrants, “our neighbours, people who work in our economy,” would “rip this country apart.”
Reform shot back, accusing Labour of wanting taxpayers to “fund foreign nationals forever.” Do you think Reform’s immigration stance goes too far, or is Labour overreacting?
