Poland Moves to Fully Digital Immigration System From April 27

Poland is officially switching to a fully digital immigration filing system. The current MOS immigration portal will go offline on April 17 at 23:59, with the new platform launching on April 27, 2026.

From that date, all temporary residence permits, permanent residence permits, and EU long-term resident permit applications must be submitted online through the MOS portal. Paper applications will no longer be accepted after April 26.

Applicants will need a trusted e-identity, such as Profil Zaufany, or a qualified electronic signature. Officials say the digital immigration system will reduce processing delays, but experts warn that first-time users could face technical challenges. Employers and Ukrainian applicants are also being urged to prepare early for the transition.
