The Czech digital nomad visa, in contrast to typical "digital nomad visas," is a long-term residence permit that enables you to work freely and as a remote worker in the Czech Republic for up to 365 days. With this visa, you can move your business to the Czech Republic and take advantage of all the beautiful adventures this nation has to offer.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible;

  • The applicant must be a non-EU citizen.
  • The candidate cannot have any plans to work for a Czech company or offer services to Czech customers.
  • The applicant's stay in the Czech Republic must be specifically intended to allow them to work remotely for an employer who is based elsewhere.

Documents

The following set of records is needed to obtain a Czech Republic digital nomad visa:

  • A valid passport or other identity documents.
  • A thoroughly filled visa application form.
  • Proof of health insurance that includes hospitalisation and urgent care.
  • Evidence of income to sustain oneself while visiting the Czech Republic.
  • A letter from the employer or a description of their job as a freelancer or contractor would serve as proof of your position as a digital nomad.
  • A certificate of good behaviour from your country of origin or from any other nation you have resided in for more than six months in the previous three years.
  • Details about your lodging in the Czech Republic, like a lease or proof of your reservation at a hotel.

Process

Since you cannot apply for a visa while you are already in the Czech Republic, you must do so through the embassy or consulate that is the closest to your home nation.

Visa Processing Time
A Czech digital nomad visa will take 90 to 120 days to complete from the day your application is submitted to the embassy. Your answer will be delivered via email or SMS. You are able to visit the Czech Republic and begin working once your visa has been granted.
