International students who want to study in Egypt and who have met the requirements for entrance to one of its academic institutions should begin the process of getting an Egypt study visa. They may start the process as soon as possible to avoid any delays.

  • Acceptance letter from the college or university.
  • Medical proof confirming the applicant is HIV-free.

Visa Processing Time
The visa issuance will take 7 to 20 working days, depending on the country of origin. The students can apply for a temporary three-month tourist visa that can be extended for another three months while they wait for the security approval if it is delayed for any reason.

You need a passport that will be valid for at least six months following your expected return from Egypt in order to apply for a student visa. You must obtain a regular tourist visa to enter Egypt, and within seven days after arriving, you must register your names and addresses at the closest police station.
