Ireland just deported 35 people, including five kids, on a chartered flight to Nigeria that took off from Dublin Airport on June 4, 2025. The group, removed by the Garda National Immigration Bureau, included 21 men, nine women, and five children from family units.
This marks the third enforced deportation flight this year, with earlier removals to Georgia and another undisclosed country. Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan confirmed the group had violated Deportation Orders.
With over 2,400 deportation orders signed in 2024, a 180% rise from 2023, the pressure on Ireland’s immigration system is heating up. Critics, however, slam the harsh impact on families and children. What do you think, tough enforcement or too far?
