Brunel University has a student body of over 15,000, which Undergraduates being 11,460 and Postgraduates being 4,060. There are almost 1000 Doctoral students. This is a diverse university having over 5,000 International Students.

Many recreational and medical facilities facilitate students here. Brunel has a spa, gym, running track, pharmacy, and café. Student Barn and Sports Hall here are very historic. These venues were key for band tours in the 1970s with some big bands in rock music, including Fleetwood Mac, Fairport Convention, The Who, The Kinks and The Stones Roses.

In Bannerman Center, the university's library is located with 400,000 books and 1,500 study spaces. In the same centre, they have facilities of PC labs, Professional Development Center, large teaching rooms and Assistive Technology Centre.

It was one of the United Kingdom's first universities to enter the Formula Student Engineering competition. Formula Student Team of the university has won prices every year since they entered the competition in 1999. In 2002, Brunel Racing were Formula Student Champions, and in 2005, they were the leading team at Formula ATA.

Brunel University offers a range of university-managed accommodation on campus. There is also a wide range of options, including private rental. Group of class mates or friends looking to live in a private space together, then off-campus housing is the best option for them, and if individual students are looking for housing, then shared apartments are a good option for them.
