Coventry University is a public institution located in Coventry, England. The origins of this institute can be traced back to the establishment of the Coventry School of Design in 1843. It ranks highly across student surveys, teaching, student experience and graduate prospects, maintaining the university's status as a high-performing institution and being considered one of the top public universities in Coventry. All courses and subjects taught at Coventry University fall under one of the following five faculties.

Students

CU has a population of over 38,000 students, of which over 31,000 undergraduates, and around 7,000 postgraduates. It has a diverse population having more than 13,000 students from all over the world.

CUSU (Coventry University Students' Union) acts as a representative and campaigning association for students at the university, and it is a registered charity. This union supports free advice centres, a volunteering department and more than 100 sports clubs and societies. Coventry University Students' Union also runs its independent nightclub in Far Gosford Street.

Team Phoenix is one of Coventry University's sports teams, representing the university in 5 sports. This team annually competes in several informal and formal varsity sports with the University of Warwick. At this university, students run an independent radio station called Source Radio.

Accommodation

This university offers a wide selection of student accommodations to its students, including its own halls of residence, studios, ensuite bedrooms and halls with shared bathrooms. Coventry University owns 4 residential facilities and several houses in the Earlsdon area. It also accommodates students through partnered private companies such as Liberty Living, Unite, and Derwent Living. CU also have a shared housing facility with the University of Warwick, located on Market Way and Trinity Street. In total on-campus housing have space for 3579 students. The housing department of this university is planning to expand accommodation in the city centre for Coventry students.
