Located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, Eindhoven University is one of the best technical institutes in Europe. Although it is a young university, it has created a reputation. The university is a crucial part of the Eurotech Universities Alliance, a collaboration between the best European technical institutes.

This university is a Dutch member of the EuroTech Universities Alliance, which is a strategic partnership of science and technology institutions in Europe: École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), École Polytechnique (L’X), Technical University of Munich (TUM), and The Technion.

Primary vehicles for research and teaching in the university are scientific faculties or departments. These faculties are responsible for education and sponsoring the research institutes, and as well as they employ the majority of academic staff. The Eindhoven University have 9 departments.

STUDENTS

The students at Eindhoven University hail from all over the world. There is a total number of 13,000 students at the university, 2,000 of which are international.

Sports and Culture communities have an essential role in student life. Eindhoven University, there are more than 150 communities, informal and formal communities based on students’ hobbies, careers and study programs. Being involved in a community helps you to connect and contribute to innovation. Everyone is welcomed regardless of religion, gender, cultural background, or age. Each study program at the university has its study association. There are around 11 associations that unite under the FSA (Federation Study Associations). The students control these study associations and offer various services to their members. Most of these organised activities, sometimes pure for relaxation, sometimes study related.

SSC (Student Sport Center) at Eindhoven University offer many sports opportunities. The centre not only helps you to stay fit but also provides a fun environment to exercise with other students. Members of this centre can choose to be part of 400 classes every week.

ACCOMMODATION

The university does not offer proper accommodations for students, but it does help them find suitable housing. The international students are provided with a place to stay for a limited time, after which they have to look for accommodation.

As for Exchange students, they are offered a proper residence. There are only a few rooms, so you must apply soon.
