A Student Residence Permit is required to study in a Dutch university or university of applied sciences in Netherlands The. Persons possessing the nationality of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland, and their family members, are subject to several conditions.

Process

You need a provisional residence permit (MVV) to travel to the Netherlands. The Dutch consulate places a sticker known as the MVV on the passport. You might not always require it.

Visa Processing Time 
The Immigration and Naturalisation Service (Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst or IND) examines your compliance with all residency requirements. Additionally, it examines your adherence to the rules of your educational institution. The IND shall decide within sixty days.

Only a recognised educational institution can apply for a residence permit for study. A recognised educational institution has agreed with the IND. It is listed in the Public Register of Recognised Sponsors.

The educational institution applies for the MVV and the residence permit simultaneously. Your educational institution uses the application form.
