ABOUT

The University of Arizona is a research institute founded in 1885 by the 13th Arizona Territorial Legislature. It is in Tucson, Arizona. In the whole Arizona Territory, it was the first university. Furthermore, UA is one of the three institutes governed by the Arizona Board of Regents.

This institute is a member of the Universities Research Association and the Association of American Universities. Formerly, it was the only institute in the state of Arizona that was part of these associations. It is classified among "R1 Doctoral Universities" with very high research activity.

The UA is home to the following 20 colleges, which offer different academic programs.

UA has four campuses. The main campus has 179 buildings which cover an area of around 380 acres in central Tucson. And other campuses are Sierra Vista, Pima community college east, and Fort Huachuca.  

Sports are highly encouraged at the University of Arizona. The intercollegiate athletic teams of this university are members of the Pac-12 Conference of the NCAA. In basketball, softball and baseball, UA has won many national titles.

STUDENTS

Institute host more than 4,000 international students and scholars from all over the world. The University of Arizona has various programs for study, and this provides you with the opportunity to select your favourite field of study.

This housing provides international students with a strong support system which helps them to adjust their life in the United States. Moreover, students living on campus have a 50% higher graduation rate than those living off-campus.
