Spread over Vancouver and Kelowna, The University of British Columbia is one of the finest research universities. The university is known to host Canada's largest particle accelerator centre. It also contains the national laboratory for nuclear physics with the largest cyclotron.

AMS (Alma Mater Society) of The University of British Columbia represent undergraduate students on the campus. This society is mandated to improve the quality of personal, educational and social life. This association administers student clubs and maintains SUB (Student Union Building). On UBC administrations' behalf, AMS provides services such as GSS/AMS Health and Dental Plan.

Sports Teams of the UBC are called Thunderbirds. These teams participate in U Sports Canada West Universities Athletic Association for most varsity sports. However, several University of British Columbia teams competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.ional students are a part of undergraduate programs at UBC. ACCOMMODATIONS

The University of British Columbia provides quality residence for about 13,000 students. These students belong to over 140 countries worldwide. So, you get to meet people from all over the world and learn about different cultures.

UBC Counsellors within residence take care of students feeling persistently stressed, sad, or anxious. These counsellors provide professional counselling and ensure proper care of the students. In student housing, free group yoga and fitness sessions are arranged where students can participate and be both mentally and physically fit.
