A Student Visa must be obtained from the Korean Embassy or Consulate if you want to study in South Korea. If you seek a degree higher than a professional school or research course, you will require a D-2 Visa. In the case of a non-degree programme, you will need a D-4 visa.
It is easier to buy a 90-day Student Visa and renew it once you arrive. This visa must be applied for in person or by mail.
International students can work part-time in South Korea without needing a work permit. It is valid for more than one year can suffice.

Visa Processing Time
The visa takes roughly two weeks but can take more.

Make the embassy visa appointment well before your desired travel date to South Korea. It is because processing can take up to several weeks. Apply at the latest 15 days before you intend to go, but no earlier than three months.
Duration
This visa allows the individual to study in South Korea for the duration of their educational program. The visa is valid for up to 3 months after issuance.
