Created in 1973, Universidade de Aveiro rapidly became one of Portugal's most innovative and dynamic universities. Most of the 16 residences are situated within the Campus Universitário de Santiago. In contrast, others are located in the city, just a few minutes away from the University of Aveiro. The university residences have single, double or triple rooms. They are equipped with a kitchen, study rooms, internet and laundry services. The residences are not just for undergraduate and postgraduate students from Aveiro University but also for teaching staff who have had to relocate to the university from their hometowns and employees and visitors.
