ABOUT

Established in 1636, Utrecht University is among the oldest research institutes in the Netherlands. Located in one of the happiest places in Europe, the University offers academic brilliance along with the beauty of Utrecht. The University has produced some great minds over time, including 12 Nobel Prize Laureates. It has been consistently placed in the top 100 universities by the prominent international rankings.

The Utrecht University follow the motto "Sol Iustitiae Illustra Nos," which means May the Sun of Righteous Enlighten Us. It was gleaned from the Latin Bible Translation of Malachi 4:2. This University has a historical connection with Rutgers University, which uses a modified version of this motto.

It is a member of various international university networks, including membership in the Columbia Group, the Utrecht Network, the European University Association (EUA), and the League of European Research Universities (LERU).

STUDENTS

The University has been a home for over 30,000, including 4,500 international students. These students are a part of several undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs.
