Algeria business visa is issued to foreign nationals who want to travel to Algeria for a business tour. For example, a businessman, a representative of a company, or a foreign company’s employee can get this visa. But, a business visa is not a work permit authorizing the visa holder to work in Algeria and get paid by the Algerian employer.

Important documents for an Algerian business visa are:

  • Original passport with a validity of six months and at least two blank pages
  • Filled and signed visa application form
  • 2-3 fresh passport-size photos
  • A letter from the employer to state your position in the company, the reason to travel, and a confirmation that the company will cover the expenses of the trip.
  • A letter of invitation or sponsorship from a genuine company located in Algeria with which you will do the business.
  • The invitation letter must be stamped/legalized by the mayor's office of Algeria
  • Proof of hotel reservation or other accommodation where you will stay in Algeria
  • A copy of the host’s ID/passport/consular card – if you have an Algerian host

How to apply

  • In-person: After taking an appointment from the Algerian embassy serving your region, you can apply by hand.
  • By courier: You can send documents by urgent mail or courier if the embassy supports this route.
  • By proxy: While applying by this route, you have to give a letter of authorization, giving your consent to the person applying on your behalf.
  • Visa application agency: If you are processed by a visa agency, then the application is submitted by the same agency.
