About

You can apply to live permanently in New Zealand if you're the partner of a New Zealand citizen or resident. For that, you will need Partner NZ Resident. If granted indefinite residence in New Zealand, you can live, work, and study there.

You can include dependent children aged 24 and under in your visa application with this visa. You can apply for this visa only if your partner's New Zealand residence is relied on their Australian permanent residence, Australian citizenship or resident return visa.

  • be a partner of a New Zealand citizen.
  • fulfil health and character requirements.

  • Provide proof of your identity.
  • Be in good health.
  • Bear a good character.
  • Your partner must be a citizen or resident of New Zealand.
  • Partner must be of good character.
  • To support your application, your partner must be eligible.
  • You and your partner must have been together for at least 12 months in a sincere and stable relationship.
  • Dependent children must meet the necessities for a resident visa.
  • Kids must be under 24 years old and single.
  • Children between the ages of 21 and 24 must rely on an adult for financial assistance.
  • You must be the legal guardian or parent of your dependent children.
  • Having the legal right to dismiss dependent children from their country of origin.
