About

A short stay 'C' business visa lets you visit Ireland for 90 days for such as:

  • Attending meetings
  • Agreements or contracts which need to be negotiated or signed.
  • Work for no more than 14 days.

Eligibility

You should apply for a business visa if your work in Ireland starts and ends within a single 14-day period (2 calendar weeks).

You will need a visa if you travel to Ireland with a passport issued by a visa-required country. Or a conventional travel document that is issued by certain countries.

A visa application for a minor (someone under 18) should be made by either their parent or a legal guardian. Different conditions apply to young people as well. You should not buy plane tickets until your visa application has been approved.

Documents

You must submit the documents to your application office in less than 30 days of applying by AVATS. They will start processing your application after receiving all required documents. Documents required to apply for this visa include:

  • Application letter
  • Invitation letter
  • Accommodation plan
  • Travel or Medical insurance
  • Proof of fee payment (where relevant)
  • Passport
  • Passport Photographs
  • Finance plan
  • Obligations to return home

Process

Apply for a visa in the country where you have legal residency or in your home country. Prepare your application three months in advance of your trip.

Your application process is as follows.

  • Create an online visa application.
  • Payment of visa application fee.
  • Submit your passport as well as other documentation to be processed.

After you complete your visa application, you will be given instructions on where to send your documents. If your application is approved, an Irish visa will be inserted into your passport or travel document and given back to you.
