Student Visa Turkey

About

A Student Visa is a permit required to avail of the educational facilities in Turkey. It allows you to settle temporarily by applying for a residence permit. It can be granted to people who want to enrol in a university or do an internship in the country.

Can you work in Turkey on a Student Visa?

Working in Turkey while on a Turkish Student Visa is prohibited. If you want to work, you need to acquire a Work Permit for students from the Turkish government. Unlike in other countries, it is very difficult to find a part-time job in Turkey.

Eligibility

If you're from the Northern Republic of Cyprus or a student there, you don't need a visa to study in Turkey.

Similarly, the following groups are exempt from the Turkish Student Visa requirement:

  • Blue Card Holders.
  • Students with parents in Turkey on Residence Permits and Work Visas.
  • International students with secondary and high education in Turkey who wish to pursue a university degree (PG or UG).

Regardless of whether you're applying for a course, in a university or an internship, you will need evidence such as a letter of acceptance or equivalent to apply.
