Tourist/Businessperson Visa Turkey

About

A Tourist/Businessperson Visa is typically granted to someone who wishes to visit Turkey for less than 90 days. Also, the applicant intends to engage in business activities such as meetings, seminars, or conferences in Turkey.

There are three kinds of Tourist/Businessperson Visas available for Turkey.

Turkey eVisa
The Turkish eVisa can be taken by citizens in 90 countries. It has an easy online process and requires a fee to be paid.

Turkey Visa on Arrival
It is available for only certain nationalities.

Turkey Transit Visa
With the Turkey eVisa for Transit, you can tour surrounding areas between flights. People need this if they leave the airport; the Turkey eVisa is also valid and fast to get online. You don't require this visa if you have to stay in the airport's transit area.

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an owner of a valid passport.
  • have sufficient funds in your bank accounts.

It is possible to obtain an e-Visa online. After filling out the necessary information about identity, passport, and travel dates and paying the visa fee online, applicants can acquire their visa.

Visa Processing Time
The visa takes about 15 working days to be processed. However, depending on circumstances, this period may be longer or shorter.

When to Apply
Apply for this visa one month before the planned travel date to avoid any inconveniences caused by processing delays.

Duration & Fees

Duration
Turkish Consular Offices have the authority to grant visas with a maximum stay of 90 days in all visa applications. Foreigners who want to stay for more than 90 days must apply for a Short Term Residence Permit at the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration to extend their stay.

Fees
The visa fee varies depending on what kind of visa you opt for and the country from which you're applying. The visa fees are non-refundable.

Extension

The Turkish eVisa is valid for 90 out of 180 days. You can extend your visa if you have the right reasons for the renewal. But it's not possible to extend it online. It is essential to not overstay your visa in extending your visa.

Highlights

Residence
You don't require a residence permit for the first 90 days if you have a valid visa.

Tourism
Local governorates may issue visa-free entry permits to foreign nationals who want to enter Turkey via naval ports for touristic purposes. These permits will be valid for a maximum of 72 hours. They will only be valid for sightseeing in the naval ports where they came into the country.

Extension
You can get an extension if your reasons are valid.
