About

Turk government has introduced an official visa that is used for limited purposes. The Official Visa allows you to come to Turkey for two main reasons

  • Assigned for duty
  • Courier

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an owner of a valid passport.
  • have sufficient funds in your bank accounts.
  • provide proof of return flight.
  • confirmation of hotel reservation or accommodation.
  • have all the required documents.
  • follow the E-Visa Order Forms instructions and requirements.

Documents

Documents required for this visa are:

  • Visa application form.
  • Passport
  • Copies of old passports.
  • From the company, an Employment Letter declaring the name, position, salary, profession, or if you have any skill which is required.
  • Cover Letter
  • Original bank statements and bank account maintenance certificates for the last three months are signed and stamped by the bank officer. Furthermore, your current balance should be enough to cover all travel expenses. 
  • Letter of consent from the applicant for document verification.
  • Travel History Form for the last five years.
  • Two recent coloured biometric photographs.
  • Copy of your hotel reservation or original invitation letter. A public Notary should prepare an individual letter. 
  • Polio vaccination certificate, if applicable.
  • A copy of the flight booking. It is the copy of the flight booking, not of the ticket.
  • Certification of travel-related health insurance.

Process

You can get an e-Visa 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, anywhere with an internet connection. After filling out the necessary information about their identity, passport, and travel dates and paying the visa fee online, applicants can acquire their visas.

Visa Processing Time
The visa takes about 15 working days to be processed. However, depending on circumstances, this period may be longer or shorter.

When to Apply
It is recommended that visas be applied for one month before the planned travel date to avoid any inconveniences caused by processing delays.

Duration & Fees

Duration
Turkish consular offices have the authority to grant visas with a maximum stay of 90 days in all visa applications. Foreigners who want to stay in-country for more than 90 days must apply for a "Short Term Residence Permit" at the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration to extend their stay.

Fees
The visa fee varies depending on what kind of visa you opt for and the country from which you're applying. The visa fees are non-refundable.

Extension

The Turkish eVisa is valid for 90 out of 180 days. You can extend your visa if you have the right reasons for the renewal. You cannot extend your visa online. It is essential to not overstay your visa in extending your visa

Residence
If you have a valid visa, you do not need a residence permit for up to 90 days. 

Tourism
Local governorates may issue visa-free entry permits to foreigners entering Turkey through naval ports for touristic purposes. These permits will be valid for a maximum of 72 hours. They will only be valid for sightseeing in the vicinity of the naval ports from which they entered the country.

Extension
If your reasons are valid, you can get an extension.
