About

For studies, you require a residency permit. Typically, a student residence permit is issued for the duration of the programme. A residency permit, however, can only be issued while your passport is valid. You can only study in Finland for up to 90 days without residency authorization.   • You'll earn a vocational qualification or a degree as a result of your studies.

Gather the following documents while applying for this visa.

  • Identity documents
  • Proof of enrollment into a Finnish institute.
  • Prove that you can support yourself financially.
  • You should be medically fit.

Process

The visa can be processed in a month. It can take longer in some cases, depending on the availability of documents and other such factors.

How to Apply
Visit the Finnish Immigration Service if you submitted your application using the e-service to provide identification, get your fingerprints taken, and produce the originals of the documents you attached. If you submit your application electronically, you can pay for it there, at a Finnish mission, or at a Finnish Immigration Service location. 

Bring the paper application you filled out if you submitted one. Take fingerprints, establish your identification, and display the originals of the supporting documents you submitted with your application.

Fees
This visa has a 350 EUR electronic application charge and a 450 EUR paper application fee. To afford your housing, food, and other monthly needs, you must have a minimum of 560 EUR. You need to have 13,440 EUR available for a two-year stay. You need to have fewer finances if your educational institution pays for your living expenses while you are studying in Finland.

Extension

You may apply for an extension if you take up some extra course or your course length increases. You do have to consult with your university on that matter.
