ABOUT

The University of Waikato is well-known for its diverse disciplines and research facilities. The University's main campus was established in 1964 in Hamilton and later also provided a sub-campus in Tauranga. The University offers degrees in Art, Health Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, and many other disciplines.

It has been a guiding star for several great names like Jacinda Ardern, the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand.

This institute is a state-funded tertiary education provider. Waikato Management School is the business faculty of the University and is recognized nationally and internationally for its quality teaching, relevant research, influential practice, and commitment to excellence. This school is a member of an elite group of business schools with triple crown status. It is accredited by AACSB International, the oldest accessor in business studies, AMBA (Association of MBAs), and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). All these three accreditation bodies accredit only 1% of business schools in the world.

The University follows the mission to transform minds, careers, and organizations. Due to the broad international connection, the University of Waikato has cutting-edge research practices that provide students and staff an opportunity to learn practical skills and knowledge. Students from here go on to become a leader in the private and public sectors because UW graduates can act ethically and responsibly and think critically and carefully.

STUDENTS

UW is considered a home to about 13,000 students, and 2000 students are International from 70 countries worldwide.

As a student at this University, you get an opportunity to be a part of a diverse community of people of different ages, cultures, ethnicities, ideas, and goals. With its vibrant atmosphere, students are welcomed by various clubs and societies and participate in different social and academic events.

Student Learning Program offer dedicated tutors to provide free assistance with assignments, studies, citation and referencing, language developments, exam preparations, or any learning matter.

The University designed Study Advising Program to help new students in their first-year study. In this program, students are allocated to a dedicated Study Advisor who will be from the student's area of study and will help them to succeed in their study goals. 

ACCOMMODATIONS

The main Campus in Hamilton provides on-campus and off-campus residences for the students. Also, the University offers a transport service, so you will not have a problem living off-campus.

The sub-campus in Tauranga uses a shared space with another institute, but the new campus building is under development and will be up and running soon.
