Nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional (TN) program enables Canadian and Mexican citizens to work in the United States as NAFTA professionals for the US or foreign businesses in arranged commercial activities. Permanent residents of Mexico and Canada are ineligible to apply directly for TN visas in order to work as NAFTA experts.
Along with the economic and trade advantages of this agreement, travelling and working on NAFTA visas also have other benefits. The U.S. created the Treaty National Professionals Visa, or TN Visa, to let citizens of Canada and Mexico temporarily reside and work in the US.
There are two types of NAFTA Professional (TN) Visas. A TN-1 is for Canadian professionals, and a TN-2 is for Mexican professionals.

The NAFTA Professional (TN) Visa is valid for up to 3 years.
Fees
Your company must pay 460 USD for Form I-129, Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker, to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), if you want to get a TN visa before travelling to the US.
Your company can file a Form I-129 extension application with USCIS if you want to prolong the validity of your TN visa. Your stay will be extended if your job continues to meet the TN standards. Extension petitions are subject to particular deadlines and processing delays.
