An Employer-specific Work Permit lets you work under the terms of your work permit. These terms include the following:
Employment permits are only valid for the employer and the job listed on the permit. If you want to change employers, you must apply for a new employment permit that meets the eligibility requirements for the type of permit you want.
When applying for a work permit, you must meet specific requirements based on where you are. However, irrespective of where you apply or which type of work permit you apply for, you must:
Give the officer any additional documents, if they request you, to prove your eligibility to enter the country.

Due to COVID-19, most applicants must apply online for a work permit. You can only visit Canada if you are excluded from COVID-19 travel restrictions, even if your work permit application has been approved. You must be a fully vaccinated traveller in most cases.

Duration
In general, the longer the duration of a temporary stay is, the greater the onus will be on the individual to provide evidence of temporary purpose at the time of an application for a work permit or extension. Employer-specific work permits allow you to stay in the country for up to 4 years.
Fees
Employer-specific work permits can cost you 155 CAD per applicant. If three workers apply together, you have to pay 465 CAD.
If your work permit expires when you're in Canada, you may apply for an extension.

You can include family or spouse on this visa, but it will cost extra fees.
Travel
You are allowed to travel in or outside Canada.
