The Management Development Institute of Singapore, or MDIS, which was established in 1956, is Singapore's first non-profit vocational university. Numerous degree programmes are available there, including ones in Engineering, Business Management, Fashion Design, Mass Media, Nursing, Psychology and Hotel Management.
Graduates of MDIS had a strong employment rate, according to a Committee for Private Education assessment on job outcomes. In comparison, polytechnic graduates who had completed their national service had a 64% full-time employment rate. The Singapore Management University (SMU), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), which are three autonomous universities, have a higher rate of 78.4%.
The university has 13,000 students, of which about 5,000 are international students from 74 countries.
Every year MDIS hold a ceremony for awarding scholarships and bursaries. Over 8,000 students have benefited from more than 6 million USD in scholarships and bursaries.
International students should, ideally, plan for housing before beginning their education, such as a private diploma, degree, or master's in Singapore.
Private school students in the nation have access to a wide variety of housing alternatives. The kind of lodging you choose will also rely on your budget and factors like travel time and amenities.
MDIS received the Enterprise 50 Award in 2017 and was placed 4th for its contributions to the growth of Singapore's economy.
