ABOUT

Established in 1447, the Uppsala University is the oldest and one of the best universities in Sweden. It got special significance during the 16th and 17th centuries after it got donations from King Gustavus Adolphus. The university strives to seek the truth through nature. It has a particular focus on faculties of Social sciences, Humanities, Medicine and Technology. It offers programs in nine faculties and three disciplinary schools.

Uppsala University is a member of the Coimbra Group of European Universities. It also belongs to the Guild of Research-Intensive European Universities. The student exchange agreement of the university is signed with around 400 institutions across all parts of the world. The university also takes part in the Nordplus programme and Erasmus programme. In 2010, the university joined the (MNU) Matariki Network of Universities together with Queen's University (Canada), Dartmouth College (USA), University of Western Australia (Australia), University of Otago (New Zealand), and University of Tübingen (Germany).

STUDENTS
